Lamine Yamal breaks an old record

The Moroccan player, Lamine Yamal, made his way into FC Barcelona’s history, becoming the youngest player to play for the first team in La Liga.

Yamal broke a record that had stood for more than eighty years, when coach Xavi Hernandez gave him the chance to join the game against Real Betis in the 83rd minute replacing Gavi. The old record was held by Vicente Martine when he participated in the game against Real Madrid in October 1941 at the age of 16 years, nine months, and five days, while the Moroccan player is only15 years, nine months, and 16 days old.

The young player was outstanding in the few minutes he played, and he was even close to score his first goal.
