At just 19 years old, Ayoub Oufkir is starting to make a name for himself in the Netherlands. Trained at Sparta Rotterdam, the Moroccan-born right winger is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Dutch football. ESPN recently dedicated a glowing profile to him, even dubbing him the “little Ziyech.”
Author of an assist on his Eredivisie debut against FC Twente, Oufkir confirmed his potential at the U19 Euro in Romania. With four goals in the qualifiers and a key role in the Netherlands’ triumph over Spain, he established himself as one of the tournament’s revelations.
Compared early on to Hakim Ziyech by his mentor Fouzi Mesaoudi, Oufkir impresses with his creativity, crossing ability, and boldness on the ball. “He’s truly a rough diamond for us, with real bravery,” praised Sparta coach Maurice Steijn.
