Real Madrid revisits Abdellah Ouazane

Just over a year after his failed move to Madrid, Abdellah Ouazane is reportedly back on Real Madrid’s radar. The young Moroccan international, now 17 years old and established in the professional squad of Ajax Amsterdam, has convinced the Spanish club to continue closely monitoring his development.

So far, no offer has been made to Ajax, and there is no talk of an agreement between the parties.

Ouazane has made significant progress since the summer of 2025. This season, the Moroccan has already participated in several matches with Ajax’s first team, both in the Eredivisie and on the European stage. His start to the season has notably been marked by his first goal in the Dutch league and several standout performances.

A failed transfer that raised questions

This news takes on a particular significance in light of the events that occurred in the summer of 2025. Abdellah Ouazane was then very close to joining Real Madrid. At the end of his contract with Ajax, the Moroccan even traveled to Spain when his arrival at La Fábrica seemed practically finalized.

The operation was ultimately canceled after the medical examination conducted by the Madrid club. Real Madrid has never publicly communicated the exact nature of the factors that motivated its decision.

This is also the paradox of the situation. In the summer of 2025, Real Madrid had the opportunity to recruit Abdellah Ouazane without a transfer fee since his contract with Ajax had expired.
