The Moroccan international defender Jawad El Yamiq will continue his career in Turkey. Eyüpspor officially announced on Wednesday, July 15, the arrival of the 34-year-old player, who joins the Istanbul club after his stint at Real Zaragoza.
Having been a free agent since the expiration of his contract with the Spanish club on June 30, 2026, the Atlas Lion signs without a transfer fee with the Süper Lig team. However, the duration of his new contract was not specified in the official announcement.
El Yamiq returned to Real Zaragoza last February, six years after his first spell at the Aragonese club. Wearing the Spanish colors, the Moroccan defender played twelve matches and scored one goal during the second half of the 2025-2026 season.
Having notably played for OC Khouribga, Raja Casablanca, Genoa, Perugia, Real Valladolid, Al-Wehda, and Al-Najma, Jawad El Yamiq will now discover the Turkish league. Eyüpspor is counting on his experience and physical impact to strengthen its defensive line ahead of the new season.
