Maroan Sannadi shone this Friday with Athletic Club by scoring the winning goal against Real Sociedad (1-0) in a derby held at Anoeta as part of the Euskal Herria Txapela final.
Starting at the forefront of the Bilbao attack, the Moroccan striker found the back of the net in the 58th minute. From a perfectly executed free kick by Robert Navarro, Sannadi emerged at the near post to deliver a superb diving header that beat the Real Sociedad goalkeeper.
Already dangerous before halftime with a shot that hit the crossbar, the Moroccan was ultimately rewarded in the second half. Very proactive during this match, Athletic created the clearest chances before solidifying their dominance thanks to their center forward.
Sannadi left the pitch in the 71st minute, replaced by Gorka Guruzeta. His goal allowed Athletic to win this edition of the Euskal Herria Txapela and particularly highlighted the Moroccan striker in this Basque derby.
