The draw for the qualifications for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations has delivered its verdict. The Moroccan national team has been placed at the top of Group A, where it will face Gabon, Niger, and Lesotho in the race towards the final phase.
On paper, the Atlas Lions inherit a group that is largely within their reach, but it must be approached with seriousness. Gabon appears to be the strongest opponent in this group, while Niger and Lesotho will try to play their cards to the fullest to challenge the hierarchy.
With its status on the African scene, Morocco will head into the qualifiers with the clear objective of finishing at the top of its group and quickly securing its ticket for the competition. These qualifiers will also represent another important step in the continuity of the Atlas Lions’ sports project.
The 2027 AFCON will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. For Morocco, this qualifying campaign should confirm its rank among the great nations of the continent while gradually preparing for the upcoming major challenges.
