Sofiane Boufal decisive with Le Havre, a return that comes at the right time

Sofiane Boufal ends the season on a positive note with Le Havre. Arriving this winter to bring his experience and creativity to the relegation battle, the Moroccan international has stepped up during this final stretch. With an important assist, he contributed to the club’s survival in Ligue 1.

In a context where every point mattered, Boufal brought his technical quality, dynamism, and ability to create danger in the final third. For a player who needed to regain rhythm after his time at Union Saint-Gilloise, this end of the season is encouraging.

This return to form also comes at a crucial time for the Moroccan national team. The Atlas Lions are set to enter a decisive phase of preparation, with a focus that will allow the national staff to evaluate players before finalizing the list of 26 for the World Cup.

In this context, Boufal’s presence in the final list, in a role as an offensive joker, would not be a surprise. Capable of playing on the wing or in a more central attacking midfield position, the former player of Angers, Southampton, Al-Rayyan, and Union Saint-Gilloise has a different profile. His ability to provoke, eliminate, and create imbalance can be crucial in a tournament where spaces are often limited.

Competition remains fierce in the Moroccan attacking sector, but some players finished the season below their best level. Boufal, on the other hand, is returning at the right time, with confidence, playing time, and a concrete contribution to Le Havre’s survival.
