Royal Air Maroc is preparing to assist the supporters of the Atlas Lions on their journey to the United States for the 2026 World Cup. The national airline has announced an exceptional arrangement with 32 special flights scheduled during the group stage of Morocco, from June 13 to June 24, 2026. In total, more than 8,800 seats will be offered on large aircraft to allow as many Moroccan supporters as possible to attend the national team’s matches.
This program covers three American destinations: New York, Boston, and Atlanta. The service to Atlanta marks a historic first for Royal Air Maroc, responding to the strong demand expected around the Atlas Lions’ journey in the World Cup. Following the arrangements made during the 2018 World Cup in Russia and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, RAM confirms its commitment to supporting popular mobilization around the national team.
In detail, Royal Air Maroc plans to operate 12 additional direct flights to New York, with departures on June 11, 12, and 13, 2026, and returns on June 14 and 15. These flights will complement the two daily regular connections provided by the airline during the World Cup period, bringing the total capacity to nearly 7,500 supporters heading to New York.
The national airline will also schedule 12 special flights to Boston, with departures on June 17, 18, and 19, and returns on June 20, 21, and 22. This rotation will transport more than 3,300 Moroccan supporters. Finally, 8 direct special flights to Atlanta are planned, with departures on June 22, 23, and 24, followed by returns on June 25, 26, and 27, accommodating over 2,200 supporters.
This exceptional arrangement comes amid great enthusiasm for the Moroccan team. The Atlas Lions, buoyed by the excitement of the entire country, are expected to have a strong presence of their supporters in American stadiums. For Royal Air Maroc, the goal is clear: to facilitate the travel of Moroccan fans and allow their voices to resonate at the highest level during this World Cup.
However, supporters wishing to make the trip will need to anticipate several important steps. Before making any reservations, it will be necessary to check the validity of their passport, the entry requirements for the United States, the potential need for a visa, and possession of a match ticket. U.S. authorities remind travelers who are not eligible for the visa waiver program that they generally need to apply for a B-2 or B1/B2 visitor visa for tourism purposes.
Thus, having a plane ticket alone does not guarantee entry into the United States. Moroccan supporters must ensure that their travel documents are in order before finalizing their trip. With this special program, Royal Air Maroc nonetheless offers a major solution to accompany the Atlas Lions in their global adventure and allow supporters to experience one of the great events of international football up close.
