The CAF gives reason to Morocco.

Not having been able to travel to Algeria using a direct line connecting Morocco to Algeria, Morocco could not participate in the last edition of the CHAN to defend its title.

Aware that it was impossible for Morocco to go to the land of the host country, CAF decided not to sanction Morocco. Furthermore, she believes that the reasons for her disqualification are totally beyond her control.

CAF clears Morocco and decides not to follow up on the request of the Algerian Federation of Football which had asked for damages for the non-participation of the Moroccan selection in the CHAN.
