The future of Walid Cheddira could be written far from Napoli this summer. The Moroccan international forward is attracting interest from Hellas Verona, Monza, and Frosinone, who have reportedly begun discussions regarding a potential transfer.
Back in Naples after his loan at Lecce, the 28-year-old player is not expected to be held back at all costs by the Italian club. Lecce had an option to buy estimated at four million euros but chose not to activate it, deeming the amount too high. However, a return under a different arrangement is not entirely ruled out.
Frosinone knows Cheddira particularly well, as he wore their colors during the 2023-2024 season. The Moroccan striker scored seven goals in Serie A that season before going on several loans to Espanyol, Sassuolo, and then Lecce.
Under contract with Napoli until June 2028, Cheddira may now prioritize a project that offers him more playing time. Verona, Monza, and Frosinone appear as three possible destinations, but no official offer has been announced yet.
