Yassine Bounou could be one of the key stories to follow during this summer transfer window. According to Turkish media, Fenerbahçe has identified the Moroccan goalkeeper from Al-Hilal as their priority should Ederson leave the Istanbul club. However, this remains at the discussion stage.
The name Yassine Bounou is frequently mentioned in connection with Fenerbahçe. According to several Turkish outlets, the Istanbul club is already preparing for the potential departure of their goalkeeper Ederson and has marked the Moroccan international as his successor. Turkish journalist Levent Ümit Erol, a specialist in Fenerbahçe news, claims that Bounou is at the top of the list for the club’s management in the event of the Brazilian’s departure.
Indeed, Ederson’s future appears uncertain. The Brazilian goalkeeper is reportedly open to a move this summer and is attracting interest from Juventus. In this context, Fenerbahçe is considering several experienced profiles to strengthen their last line of defense, and Yassine Bounou perfectly meets the criteria sought by the Turkish club.
Under contract with Al-Hilal until 2027, Bounou remains a key figure at the Saudi club, and no official approach from Fenerbahçe has been confirmed so far. Reports from Turkish media only mention a concrete interest from the Istanbul club, without any announcement of an agreement or advanced negotiations.
At this stage, the situation remains a transfer rumor. If Ederson were to leave Fenerbahçe in the coming weeks, the path leading to Yassine Bounou could quickly gain momentum. The coming days should provide more insight into the Turkish club’s intentions and the future of the Atlas Lions goalkeeper.
