The OM and Nadir hosted RC Lens with El Aynaoui and Zaroury…

RC Lens, featuring Neil El Aynaoui and Anass Zaroury, traveled this Saturday, March 8, at 9:05 PM for the 25th round of Ligue 1 to the pitch of the Vélodrome in Marseille, where they faced Bilal Nadir, but unfortunately not Amine Harit, who has relapsed from his calf injury.

At the start of the match, the son of former great Moroccan tennis player Neil El Aynaoui, representing Lens, and Bilal Nadir, a starter for Marseille, began the game.

A very involved and noticeable Bilal Nadir stood out, while El Aynaoui appeared more discreet, reflecting the state of their respective teams. Nadir occupied a hybrid position between winger and attacking midfielder, not hesitating to make himself known and take initiatives without fearing the ball when he had it at his feet.

El Aynaoui had to wait until the second part of the first period to raise his level of play, become more aggressive on the ball carrier, and show more initiative. He is an interesting player coming back from an injury, which is certainly his weakness, despite having the stature and physique to challenge his opponents.

After a strong first half, Roberto De Zerbi substituted Nadir for Greenwood. The Moroccan had not underperformed, while El Aynaoui remained one of the mainstays of the Lens team in midfield.

In the 65th minute, Zaroury’s entry gave him a solid thirty minutes to stand out and show his coach that he deserved more than just half an hour, possibly creating a surprise for Lens. His entry was rather neutral, although the player tried to be proactive. However, the very deep block of the Lens team did not allow Anass to shine.

During this match, our Moroccans were proactive and offered an interesting style of play, but they were not very effective. Nevertheless, in the second half and towards the end of the first, El Aynaoui showed some promising skills by being aggressive and effective in his position.

Evidence of this is his magnificent goal at the end of the match, which completely revitalizes his club, currently struggling with results and gives RC Lens a 1-0 victory. A remarkable highlight a few days before the announcement of the list by coach Walid Regragui… Who knows?
