The FRMF is not giving up on Thiago Pitarch

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has no intention of abandoning the case of Thiago Pitarch, the young midfielder from Real Madrid, despite increasing competition from Spain. In recent days, several media outlets have reported that the 18-year-old player, eligible to represent Morocco due to his family origins, remains on the radar of Moroccan decision-makers, who wish to continue their efforts to persuade him as long as his international future is not definitively sealed.

Previously called up in the past by Moroccan youth teams, Pitarch saw an earlier Moroccan attempt hindered, particularly in a context where Real Madrid had refused to release him. Since then, his progress within the white house has accelerated, drawing even more attention in both Spain and Morocco. His situation has recently gained media traction following his appearances with Real Madrid, reigniting the battle between the two federations.

From the FRMF’s perspective, the idea is to maintain contact, continue presenting the Moroccan sports project to the player, and remind him that the door remains open. The Moroccan strategy aligns with a well-known logic: to secure high-potential dual nationals as early as possible before they become firmly established within the Spanish fold. According to recently circulated information, Morocco has not given up and continues to hope for a turnaround.

It remains to be seen whether Thiago Pitarch will respond to this Moroccan initiative or continue his journey with Spain. One thing is certain: in the eyes of the FRMF, the case is still alive, and the talent of the young Madrid player fully justifies this insistence. As long as no irreversible choice has been made at the highest level, Morocco intends to continue playing its card until the end.
