Despite Morocco’s draw against Tunisia (1-1) this Wednesday during the opening day of the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations, Ibrahim Rabbaj stood out individually by being named man of the match. This award recognizes his performance in a challenging game for the Atlas Lions.
In a match that started poorly after Tunisia took the lead with a goal from Jlidy in the 28th minute, Rabbaj tried to bring movement and dynamism to the Moroccan play. Morocco, struggling for a long time after a completely failed start, ultimately managed to equalize thanks to Hadidi, who scored in the 76th minute.
This individual accolade confirms Rabbaj’s importance in the Moroccan setup, even though the final result leaves the Lions with regrets.
