Just hours before their departure to Boston, the Atlas Lions held a light training session this Wednesday, primarily focused on recovery and muscle strengthening. The group led by Mohamed Ouahbi worked indoors to recharge their batteries ahead of the final stretch of preparation for their match against Scotland.
This session, which involved no excessive strain, comes in the context of physical management as Morocco prepares to play its second match in the 2026 World Cup. The national staff aims to preserve the freshness of the squad before the trip to Massachusetts, where the players will then resume work on the field.
The day before, the Atlas Lions had already continued their preparation at Pingry School, with a session more focused on technical and tactical aspects. Mohamed Ouahbi particularly emphasized coordination between lines and certain combinations in view of the upcoming match.
After the draw against Brazil in their opening match, the Atlas Lions are now turning their attention to Scotland with the aim of confirming their strength in Group C. The match is scheduled for this Friday at Boston Stadium, starting at 6:00 PM local time, which is 11:00 PM in Morocco.
