Souffian El Karouani recorded his seventh assist of the season, contributing to his team FC Utrecht’s 3-2 victory against Willem II in the 25th round of the Eredivisie.
After trailing in the first half, Utrecht managed to equalize thanks to Souffian El Karouani and Sébastien Haller. The Moroccan player entered the box from the left and delivered a perfect cross that found the head of the Ivorian striker in the 67th minute. Subsequently, El Karouani’s teammates scored another goal, but the hosts managed to equalize before Adrian Blake, the English forward, sealed the victory with a third goal in the final five minutes.
Thanks to this victory, FC Utrecht maintains its third place in the Eredivisie standings with a total of 49 points, while Willem II’s situation becomes more complicated as they remain in the relegation zone.
