Bad news for Anis Soubeir. Starting with AS Monaco this Saturday on the pitch of RC Strasbourg during the 4th round of Ligue 1, the young Moroccan was forced to leave his teammates as early as the 22nd minute due to an injury. Matthis Abline replaced him.
This premature exit is all the more frustrating as Soubeir had received a new vote of confidence from Filipe Luís. The 19-year-old attacking midfielder had been included from the start after participating in the first three rounds of the championship with Monaco. Before this match, he had accumulated 59 minutes in Ligue 1 this season, only as a substitute.
The exact nature of his injury has not yet been communicated by the Monaco club. Therefore, we will have to wait for the first medical indications to know the severity of the issue and a possible duration of unavailability. At halftime, L’Équipe’s live coverage simply confirmed that Monaco had “lost Anis Soubeir to injury.”
Arriving in Monaco from FC Metz in 2025, Soubeir is under contract until June 2028 and is gradually starting to make a place for himself in the first team. His injury comes at a time when the young Moroccan was seeing his playing time increase and was getting his chance in the Monaco starting eleven.
