Anass Salah-Eddine could leave AS Roma during this summer transfer window. Olympiakos is said to have reached an agreement with the Italian club for the transfer of the Moroccan left-back, but the player is not yet convinced by this destination.
Loaned to PSV Eindhoven last season, the 24-year-old defender made a good impression on the Dutch leaders, who were in favor of continuing their collaboration. However, Salah-Eddine chose to return to Rome to try to establish himself with the Italian team.
The situation has reportedly changed quickly with the arrival of Gian Piero Gasperini. The new Roman coach is looking for faster and more offensive profiles on the flanks, which could push the Moroccan international towards the exit. Roma has thus accepted Olympiakos’s approach for a transfer valued at several million euros.
However, Salah-Eddine does not consider Greece to be his priority. Real Betis has also been mentioned among the interested clubs, although no operation is currently close to being finalized. A return to PSV also seems uncertain, as the Dutch champions have activated other options, including one leading to Filip Kostic.
