The arrival of Diomande at Real Madrid could reshuffle the cards in the Madrid offensive sector. Recruited primarily to occupy the right flank while also being capable of playing on the left, the Ivorian international is expected to strengthen an already particularly strong competition within the squad.
According to the Spanish daily AS, Brahim Diaz could be one of the players most affected by this transfer. Since his return to Real Madrid, the Moroccan international has established himself as a reliable element in the rotation, capable of starting certain matches or providing a solution during games, without ever questioning his status.
This hierarchy could, however, evolve. With Diomande expected to settle on the right wing, Arda Güler could become the first offensive choice off the bench. Brahim Diaz might then slip down a rank in the rotation and have to settle for even more limited playing time.
The competition does not stop there. Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, Güler, Endrick, and eventually Rodrygo also have significant arguments in various offensive positions. In this context, every appearance could become crucial for the Lion of the Atlas.
Nevertheless, Brahim Diaz’s versatility remains an asset. Capable of playing on both wings, in the center, or behind the striker, the Moroccan maintains a different profile from several of his competitors. However, he will need to be particularly effective to convince José Mourinho to grant him a regular place in the rotation.
As the new season approaches, Brahim Diaz’s situation will therefore be worth monitoring. His immediate future does not seem to be in question, but the arrival of Diomande could significantly reduce his opportunities at Real Madrid.
