Zakaria El Ouahdi continues to attract the interest of several European clubs. The right-back from KRC Genk is notably on the radar of PSV Eindhoven, which sees him as one of the candidates likely to replace Sergiño Dest.
According to the Dutch media outlet Voetbal International, the profile of the Moroccan international has been monitored for several months by PSV’s management. The club’s sporting director, Earnest Stewart, even traveled to Belgium to observe him. However, this option is only expected to become concrete if Dest departs, as he is still under contract with the Dutch champions.
PSV will also have to contend with competition from AC Milan. According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the Rossoneri have added El Ouahdi to their list to strengthen the right flank following the departure of Zachary Athekame. Genk is reportedly demanding between 13 and 15 million euros to release the Moroccan, whose contract runs until June 2028.
Having delivered impressive performances with Genk, El Ouahdi has established himself as one of the most offensive full-backs in the Belgian league. At 24 years old, the Atlas Lion could take a new step in his career, but no official offers from PSV or AC Milan have been announced yet.
