Azzedine Ounahi once again made his mark with Girona on Thursday night, during the 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad, in the 36th round of La Liga. Starting in the Catalan midfield, the Moroccan international delivered a solid performance, characterized by his activity between the lines and his ability to create space in the final third.

After falling behind following Jon Martín’s opening goal in the 28th minute, Girona pushed hard to get back into the match. Ounahi was instrumental in organizing the play, providing technical precision and participating in several dangerous situations, particularly with his forward passes and runs around the opponent’s box.

The Catalan club eventually found the equalizer in the second half thanks to Cristhian Stuani, who scored in the 66th minute with an assist from Arnau Martínez. This goal was crucial for Girona, which is still engaged in a pressure-filled end to the season, aiming to secure its place in La Liga definitively.

For Ounahi, this performance confirms an interesting rise in form as the next challenges approach. The Moroccan midfielder, valuable in build-up play and capable of breaking lines, continues to accumulate playing time and regain influence in a demanding league.
