The future of Amine Harit at Olympique de Marseille is becoming clearer. According to information from L’Équipe, Bruno Genesio has personally informed the Moroccan international that he is counting on him for the 2026-2027 season. This decision temporarily distances the prospect of a departure this summer.
Back in Marseille after his loan at Istanbul Başakşehir, the 29-year-old player has taken advantage of the summer preparation to regain credibility. He has started three times in the last four friendly matches for OM, notably being used on the right wing while enjoying some freedom to drift inside and participate in the build-up play.
His ability to play in both channels or behind the striker represents an interesting option for Genesio. However, the Marseille coach will expect more consistency and involvement from the Lion of the Atlas, particularly in the defensive efforts required for this position. Therefore, this trust does not guarantee him a starting spot, but it confirms his return to OM’s plans.
Harit has recently praised Genesio’s methods, particularly appreciating his communication and the calm he brings to the group. Tied to the Phocaean club until June 2027, the Moroccan now has a new opportunity to relaunch his career at the Vélodrome, just days before the resumption of Ligue 1 against Strasbourg.
