Ipswich Town has officially announced the arrival of Issa Diop from Fulham. The Moroccan international central defender leaves the Cottagers to continue his career under the colors of the Tractor Boys.
The English club announced the signing of the 29-year-old player on its social media channels as well as on its official website, with the message: “Issa Diop is a Blue.” The transfer fee has not been disclosed by Ipswich, although British media had recently reported a transfer estimated at around 10 million euros.
Arriving at Fulham in August 2022 after four seasons at West Ham, Issa Diop has solid experience in English football. The defender, who was trained at Toulouse, has played over 150 matches in the Premier League since his arrival in England in 2018.
With this signing, Ipswich Town secures the services of an experienced player, capable of bringing his physical strength, aerial game, and knowledge of the English league. Having become a Moroccan international in 2026, Issa Diop is now opening a new chapter in his career with Ipswich.
