Bilal Nadir is set to take a new step in his career. The 22-year-old Moroccan midfielder, who has been a free agent since the end of his contract with Olympique de Marseille, will continue his journey in Germany with Hamburger SV, recently promoted to the Bundesliga.
After successfully passing his medical examination in Hamburg, the U23 Moroccan international is on his way to the HSV’s summer training camp, held in Längenfeld, Austria. Expected to arrive in the evening at his new team’s training camp, he will have his first session with his new teammates on Friday morning.
According to information from the German press, Bilal Nadir will officially sign his contract upon his arrival in Austria. The agreement is for a duration of four seasons, demonstrating the confidence placed in him by the Hamburg management, who see him as a player with significant development potential.
Initially, the Moroccan was supposed to join the group directly on Wednesday evening. However, the schedule had to be adjusted to allow him to complete his medical examination at the club’s medical center in Hamburg. After passing all the tests and spending the night there, he headed to Austria on Thursday.
With this arrival, Hamburger SV further strengthens its midfield following the signings of Martin Adeline, Albert Grønbæk, and Kofi Amoako. Bilal Nadir will now have to earn his place in a particularly competitive area, where several profiles are vying for positions in midfield. However, the club’s officials see the former Marseille player as someone capable of gradually establishing himself due to his technical quality, versatility, and room for growth.
