The young Moroccan goalkeeper Bilal Laurendon continues his career in the United Arab Emirates. Free since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, the 20-year-old has signed with Shabab Al-Ahli, a club based in Dubai.
Trained at PSG, Laurendon was coming to the end of his contract with the Parisian club on June 30. He mainly played with the youth teams and the U21 group, without having made an official appearance with the first team. However, he had joined the professional squad several times and was notably on the bench against Lorient in Ligue 1 last May.
Born on February 15, 2006, in Gonesse, Bilal Laurendon stands 1.93 m tall. The young Moroccan goalkeeper has already played for various youth national teams, including the U20s, after also being called up to the U18s. At 20 years old, he is considered one of the Moroccan goalkeepers to watch in the coming years.
His future had seemed to point towards Azerbaijan a few months earlier. In March, a move to Sabah FC was discussed as his contract with PSG was nearing its end. Ultimately, it is in Dubai that the Moroccan will seek to take a new step in his young career.
At Shabab Al-Ahli, currently third in the Emirati league at the time of his arrival announcement, Laurendon joins players such as Wout Faes and Sardar Azmoun. For the former Parisian, this transfer mainly represents an opportunity to find playing time and gradually establish himself at the professional level.
