Manchester United has provided reassuring news about Noussair Mazraoui, who was injured during Morocco’s last preparatory match against Norway. In a post on their official X account, the English club wrote: “There is a positive update regarding Nous, after our defender appeared to sustain an injury during Morocco’s last outing.”
Having been substituted early in that match, Mazraoui raised concerns just days before the Lions of the Atlas begin their World Cup campaign. However, this communication from Manchester United suggests a favorable evolution in his physical condition ahead of Morocco’s next fixture.
This news is a significant relief for the national team, which is already without Nayef Aguerd and Abdessamad Ezzalzouli. Mazraoui’s presence would be invaluable for Mohamed Ouahbi, especially ahead of the clash against Brazil.
The Lions of the Atlas will face the Seleção on Saturday at 23:00 (GMT+1), as part of the first day of Group C.
