It’s official: Mahmoud Bentayg has permanently signed with Zamalek SC until 2028. The Moroccan left-back, who was loaned from Saint-Étienne in August 2024 with an option to buy, has had his transfer officially confirmed by the Egyptian club.

Having become an undisputed starter under José Peseiro, Bentayg convinced Zamalek’s management, who decided to activate the purchase option. At 25 years old, the Moroccan continues his development at one of the powerhouses of African football.

This season, he has stood out in the Egyptian Premier League with one goal and two assists. Now fully committed to Zamalek, he will strive to bring all his experience and defensive solidity to his new club.
