Ayoub Oufkir, a young 19-year-old Moroccan winger, is close to joining AZ Alkmaar during the upcoming winter transfer window. The Alkmaar club has reached an agreement with Sparta Rotterdam for the player’s transfer, who has emerged as one of the revelations of the first part of the season in the Eredivisie. Only the final contractual details between Oufkir and AZ need to be settled before the official announcement.

To finalize the deal, AZ is reportedly willing to invest around 5 million euros, a significant amount that reflects the esteem held for the young Moroccan. Despite his still limited experience at the highest level, Oufkir has quickly attracted attention due to his impactful performances and interesting potential. The club, currently undergoing a reconstruction on the wings after several major departures, sees him as a reinforcement capable of bringing speed, depth, and creativity.

This season marks the true emergence of Oufkir with Sparta Rotterdam. Used 13 times in the league by Maurice Steijn, he has seized his opportunities and shown that he can make an impact on opposing defenses. His constant progress has naturally piqued the interest of AZ, known for its policy of developing young talents. It is an ideal environment for the Moroccan player to take the next step in his career.
