The Moroccan national team has started its preparation for the upcoming match against Gabon. The Lions of the Atlas held their first training session on Monday evening at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
This session was primarily focused on getting the players back into shape and implementing the training program developed by the coaching staff. The team will continue its preparation over the coming days to be in the best possible condition for this new challenge.
Almost all of the summoned players participated in this first session. However, two absences were noted: Ismael Saibari and Achraf Hakimi, whose arrival at the gathering is scheduled for Wednesday.
Morocco will face Gabon on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 7 PM, at the Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. The Lions of the Atlas will thus have several additional training sessions in Maâmora to fine-tune their preparation before this match.
