Igamane sauve le point pour les Rangers à Motherwell

Hamza Igamane helped Rangers secure a 2-2 draw at Motherwell after scoring twice in the second half, but the Scottish club remains 14 points behind leaders Celtic, with growing doubts surrounding the future of their coach, Philippe Clement. The team struggled in the first half, conceding two goals: one from Stamatelopoulos in the 16th minute and another from Maswanhise in the 35th. Rangers failed to regroup until Igamane came on after the break.

Igamane reduced the deficit in the 50th minute and then equalized with a brilliant curling shot in the 68th minute. However, despite attempts to secure a victory, including a strike from Danilo that hit the post, Rangers had to settle for a draw. The situation could have been worse, as Motherwell had two goals ruled out after video review.

Clement’s team, looking for a resurgence after a defeat to St Mirren, put in a disappointing performance, missing a valuable opportunity to close the gap with Celtic. Igamane’s double was one of the few bright spots for Rangers, but the club now seems adrift, with the title increasingly out of reach.
