Royal Antwerp officially announced on Tuesday the arrival of Ibrahim Salah. The 24-year-old Belgian-Moroccan winger joins the Antwerp club on loan from FC Basel, with an option to buy. The former player of La Gantoise is making his return to the Belgian league.
Trained notably at Union Saint-Gilloise and Beerschot, Ibrahim Salah began his professional career with La Gantoise before moving to Stade Rennais in January 2023. During his time with the Breton club, he played 49 official matches, including a loan spell at Stade Brestois, before signing with FC Basel in September 2025.
Capable of playing on both sides of the attack, the Moroccan U21 international will now aim to find more consistency at Antwerp. His experience gained in Belgium, Ligue 1, and Switzerland represents an additional asset for the Antwerp club’s offensive sector.
This operation could lead to a permanent transfer at the end of the loan if Antwerp decides to activate the purchase option negotiated with FC Basel.
