Halhal scores own goal in his debut in Italy

Redouane Halhal participated on Friday evening in Venezia’s match against AC Milan. Played at San Siro as part of the second round of Serie A, the game ended in a Milan victory (2-0).

The Moroccan defender started the match on the bench for Venezia before being brought on in the second half by Giovanni Stroppa. Dominant, AC Milan, however, failed to convert their superiority during the first half.

AC Milan opened the scoring in the 69th minute thanks to Portuguese forward Gonçalo Ramos, perfectly assisted by Alexis Saelemaekers.

Venezia attempted to equalize in the final minutes, but AC Milan sealed their victory in the 89th minute with an own goal by Redouane Halhal. Launched alone against the goalkeeper, Ardon Jashari saw his attempt saved by Filip Stanković. The ball then hit Halhal, who had returned at full speed into the box, before ending up in the back of the net.

With this victory, AC Milan increases their total to six points after two consecutive wins. Meanwhile, Venezia suffers their second defeat in as many Serie A matches.
