Hakim Ziyech is definitively moving closer to Botafogo. Fabrizio Romano reports that the agreement for the arrival of the Moroccan international is now finalized, accompanying his information with his traditional “Here we go”. The 33-year-old player is expected in Brazil on Tuesday, September 8, to sign his contract.
This announcement marks a new advancement in this matter. On Sunday, the Brazilian press was still reporting a verbal agreement between the two parties, with several administrative formalities yet to be completed. The Italian journalist now presents the operation as concluded, although the signing of the contract and the club’s official announcement are still awaited.
Free since the end of his stint with Wydad de Casablanca, Ziyech will join Botafogo without a transfer fee. According to information published in Brazil, the former Ajax and Chelsea player is expected to sign a two-season contract with the Rio de Janeiro club.
Unless there is a last-minute turnaround during the final formalities, the Atlas Lion is set to open a new chapter in his career in Brazil. His arrival on Tuesday should precede the medical examination, the signing of his contract, and his official presentation in Botafogo colors.
