Gessime Yassine is having a particularly notable start to the season with Strasbourg. After two rounds of Ligue 1, the Moroccan international occupies the top spot in the dribblers’ ranking, according to official statistics published this Monday by the French league.
The Strasbourg winger has successfully completed eight of his fourteen attempted dribbles since the season resumed. He achieved four against Marseille on the opening day, before adding another four against Lens. He is ahead of Achraf Hakimi, Désiré Doué, and Ilan Kebbal, each credited with five successful dribbles.
Yassine also stands out for his efficiency in front of goal. His five attempts since the start of the season have all been on target, including three during his brace against Lens.
Beyond his two goals, these figures confirm the growing offensive influence of the Moroccan in Strasbourg’s play. Impactful in duels and precise in finishing, he is already establishing himself as one of the revelations of this season’s championship.
