Gessime Yassine continues his excellent start to the season with RC Strasbourg. Starting this Sunday on the pitch in Troyes, the Moroccan international provided an assist during the Alsatian team’s convincing victory (6-2) on the occasion of the 3rd matchday of Ligue 1.
After falling behind in the 9th minute, Strasbourg relied on their winger to get back into the game. In the 40th minute, Yassine created a chance on his side before entering the box and setting up Jacobo Ortega, who only had to finish to equalize. Two minutes later, a cross from the Moroccan also initiated the action for the second goal scored by Diogo Sousa.
Always available in the offensive sector, Gessime Yassine also contributed to the build-up of the third Strasbourg goal, scored by Giovanni Reyna in the 57th minute. The 20-year-old player was eventually substituted by Lucas Høgsberg in the 79th minute, while his team was already leading 3-1.
A week after his decisive brace against Lens, the former Dunkerque player thus confirms his very good form. Gessime Yassine now totals two goals and one assist after three matchdays in the league.
