Present at the CAF Awards 2025, former Togolese international Emmanuel Adebayor did not miss the opportunity to congratulate Achraf Hakimi after his crowning as African Ballon d’Or. The former star of Arsenal, Manchester City, and Real Madrid spoke with great respect and admiration for the Moroccan full-back.
“For everything he has accomplished this year, winning the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain while being a very, very decisive player for his team… but I wouldn’t say that it’s only what he has done this year,” Adebayor shared. “I would rather say that it’s everything he has achieved over the years.”
