Zakaria Aboukhlal could leave Torino after just one season in Italy. According to Sky Sport Italia, Elche has begun discussions with the Turin club to recruit the Moroccan international during this summer transfer window.
The negotiations are focused on a loan with an option to buy. Torino would also like to include a percentage on any potential resale of the player. No definitive agreement has been reached yet, but talks are ongoing between the two clubs.
Signed in July 2025 from Toulouse, Aboukhlal is under contract with Torino until June 2029. His first season in Serie A, disrupted by several physical issues, was limited to 15 appearances without a goal or assist. However, he participated on Saturday in the victory against Carrarese (1-0) in the Coppa Italia, playing the last twenty minutes.
At 26 years old, the Atlas Lion may see this proposal as an opportunity to regain more consistency. With 25 goals and nine assists in 83 matches with Toulouse, he is looking to bounce back after a challenging season in Italy.
