Couhaib Driouech expressed his satisfaction after playing his first official minutes for Celta Vigo. The Moroccan winger participated in the goalless draw on Thursday against Real Sociedad (0-0).
“I am very happy. I have been waiting for this moment for several weeks. So, I am glad to be part of the team and to have gotten playing time,” he stated to CeltaMedia after the match.
Driouech also reflected on his team’s performance. He acknowledged that Real Sociedad dominated the first half, while highlighting the defensive solidity displayed by Celta to keep their goal intact.
The Moroccan believes that his team showed a more offensive face after the break and created several chances. Given the flow of the match, he ultimately considers the draw a logical result. This debut now marks a first step for Driouech, who will gradually seek to gain more playing time within his new team.
