Amine Bassi was tremendously decisive in the qualification of Houston Dynamo for the final of the United States Cup, US Open Cup 2023, to the detriment of Real Salt Lake. Bassi’s teammates already know their opponent who is none other than Inter Miami, who defeated Cincinnati on penalties in the other semi-final.
Salt Lake took the lead in stoppage time of the first half. A ball in the surface found the Moroccan Amine Bassi who intelligently served the Mexican Hector Herrera for the opener, but the visitors scored the equalizer in the second half (1-1, 64′).
The Moroccan midfielder will prove himself again during overtime by assisting the Panamanian Carrasquilla who scored the second goal (2-1, 105′), before providing another assist to the Colombian Caicedo for the third goal (3-1, 120′ + 5).
Bassi & Co will therefore have the chance to win their first title of the season and their second US Open, even if the task won’t be easy against Messi and teammates who seek to win this title for the first time in history.
