Couhaib Driouech arrived in Vigo on Tuesday to finalize his transfer to Celta. The Moroccan winger from PSV Eindhoven now needs to complete the final formalities, including medical and contractual ones, before his arrival is officially announced.
Celta and PSV have agreed on a deal estimated at nearly 7 million euros. Neither club has officially confirmed the transfer yet, but the arrival of the 24-year-old player in Galicia marks a significant step forward in this matter.
Driouech is set to experience a favorable outcome after his transfer to Rangers fell through. The Scottish club had backed out of the deal after expressing concerns about his physical condition, while PSV considered the issue faced by their player to be minor.
Having scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists in 40 matches across all competitions last season, Driouech is expected to bring his speed and dribbling skills to Celta’s attack. The Moroccan is now close to his first experience in La Liga, pending the official announcement.
