Morocco will compete in Group A of the 2026 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, scheduled from October 12 to 21 on Moroccan soil. The draw placed the Atlas Lions alongside Libya, Zambia, and Algeria.
As the three-time defending champion, Morocco will approach this new edition with the goal of continuing its continental reign. Crowned successively in 2016, 2020, and 2024, the national team will aim to secure a fourth consecutive African title, a feat never achieved in the history of the competition.
Hicham Dguig’s men will particularly need to be wary of Libya, the African champion in 2008, as well as Algeria and Zambia. However, buoyed by their home crowd, the Moroccans will enter the tournament as the favorites in this group.
The Kingdom will host the Futsal CAN for the third consecutive time, following the 2020 and 2024 editions. Crowned at home during these two tournaments, the Atlas Lions will seek to once again confirm their dominance in African futsal.
