The Wydad Athletic Club has made a perfect start to its group stage in the CAF Cup, winning 3-0 against Nairobi United this Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium. This controlled victory allows the Reds to take the lead in their group right from the first matchday.

The Casablanca team wasted no time asserting their dominance. In the 3rd minute, Ayoub Boucheta opened the scoring, taking advantage of a well-managed start to the match. Just before halftime, Mohamed Bouchouari doubled the lead in the 44th minute, giving WAC a comfortable advantage at the break.

In the second half, Amine Benhachem’s team continued to manage the pace of the game without ever being threatened. In the 78th minute, Mohamed Rayhi came on for Abdelghafour Lamirat, and eight minutes later, he sealed the victory with a precise strike (86th).

Thanks to this three-goal victory, Wydad sits at the top of its group, ahead of Maniema Union (DRC), which won 2-0 against the Tanzanian club FC Azam.

The Reds will continue on Tuesday, November 25, with a challenging away match in Tanzania against Azam FC during the second matchday, aiming to confirm this ideal start and widen the gap in the standings.
