Brahim Diaz shines and impresses Mourinho against Inter

Brahim Diaz delivered a standout performance during Real Madrid’s victory over Inter Milan (2-1) on Tuesday night, in the opening match of the Champions League. Starting on the right flank, the Moroccan international fully capitalized on the trust placed in him by José Mourinho.

In the 14th minute, the Lion of the Atlas intercepted a poorly handled ball by the Italian defense before perfectly setting up Kylian Mbappé. The French forward left Josep Martínez with no chance, allowing Brahim to record his first assist of the evening.

Brahim could have even provided a second assist in the 57th minute. After evading several opponents with a truly remarkable display of skill, the Moroccan delicately lifted the ball over the goalkeeper to set up Jude Bellingham in front of goal. However, the Englishman lacked composure, and Josep Martínez saved Inter. It was an exceptional play that Mourinho certainly appreciated from his bench.

Also close to scoring with a shot that hit the post before halftime, Brahim consistently brought movement and creativity to the Madrid attack. Substituted in the 79th minute, he left the match with one assist, but more importantly, with the feeling of having sent a strong message to his coach.
