Leicester City officially announced on Wednesday the permanent transfer of Bilal El Khannouss to VfB Stuttgart. The Moroccan international midfielder thus commits permanently to the German club, having previously played there on loan during the 2025/26 season. The amount of the transfer has not been disclosed by the English club.
Arriving at Leicester City from Genk in the summer of 2024, El Khannouss ultimately played only one season in the colors of the Foxes before continuing his development in the Bundesliga. The 22-year-old player then joined Stuttgart on loan, where his performances convinced the German club to make his move a permanent transfer.
In its statement, Leicester recalls that the Moroccan international wore the club’s jersey 39 times in all competitions, scoring a total of three goals. His departure confirms the player’s desire to establish himself long-term with Stuttgart, where he has found a favorable environment for his development.
For Bilal El Khannouss, this permanent signing represents an important new step in his European career. The Atlas Lion will now seek to confirm his abilities in the Bundesliga, a league where his technical profile, game vision, and ability to operate between the lines could allow him to reach a new level.
