Betis: Abde resumes normal training with the group

Good news for Abde Ezzalzouli. The Moroccan international has resumed normal collective training with Real Betis on Thursday, after being hindered by knee problems. The winger of the Atlas Lions completed a full session with his teammates and is now getting closer to a return to competition.

This return marks an encouraging development, especially since Manuel Pellegrini had recently been cautious about the physical condition of his player. “He is not back to 100%. It’s a complex knee injury, as it causes a lot of discomfort,” the Chilean coach explained at a press conference.

Absent during the Champions League match against Lille, Abde seems to have taken another step forward in his recovery. Another positive sign observed during Thursday’s session: the Moroccan trained without a knee bandage, while his joint had still been receiving special attention in recent days.

The 24-year-old player could now rejoin the Betis squad for the match scheduled on Monday against Villarreal, provided that his knee responds well during the upcoming sessions. However, the Sevilla staff should remain cautious to avoid any relapse.

After a disrupted start to the season due to his physical issues, Abde now hopes to gradually regain rhythm and a regular place in Pellegrini’s plans. His return to the group is certainly good news for Betis, but also for the Moroccan national team.
