Ayyoub Bouaddi addresses an emotional letter to LOSC

Following his transfer to Manchester City, Ayyoub Bouaddi chose a particularly elegant way to close the Lille chapter. The 18-year-old Moroccan international midfielder published a long letter in La Voix du Nord addressed to the LOSC supporters and everyone who accompanied him on his journey.

Arriving at the Lille training center in 2021, Bouaddi reflects on the various stages of his rise, from his first training sessions with the professionals to the major European matches. Among his most memorable memories is his first Champions League match against Real Madrid, played on his 17th birthday.

The new Manchester City player also wanted to thank his coaches, teammates, the management, and the medical staff. He did not forget the less visible individuals who contribute daily to the life of the club, including the stewards, cooks, maintenance staff, drivers, and the teams responsible for security and hospitality.

Finally, Bouaddi expressed his gratitude to the Lille fans for their chants, encouragement, and the evenings spent at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium. “I leave with the pride of having worn this jersey,” the Moroccan writes, before concluding: “Wherever my journey takes me, Lille will remain a part of my story.”
