Abdessamad Ezzalzouli returned to training with Real Betis on Monday after several weeks dedicated to his recovery. The Moroccan winger had suffered a knee injury before the 2026 World Cup, which forced him to withdraw from the competition.
After completing part of his rehabilitation program in France with a specialist, the Lion of the Atlas has returned to Seville and the facilities of the Andalusian club. He must now gradually resume work to regain his full physical capabilities and fully reintegrate into the group led by Manuel Pellegrini.
This return is good news for Real Betis, which is continuing its summer preparation after an initial training camp in Germany. The coaching staff should, however, exercise caution with the Moroccan and closely monitor the progress of his knee before considering his participation in upcoming friendly matches.
Having had a particularly successful season in the verdiblanco colors, Ezzalzouli holds an important place in Pellegrini’s setup. His goal now will be to gradually regain match rhythm to be ready as the new season approaches.
