Abdessamad Ezzalzouli could be the subject of several approaches during the summer transfer window. According to Mundo Deportivo, Aston Villa and Newcastle are among the English clubs interested in the profile of the Moroccan international from Real Betis.
However, the Andalusian club does not seem willing to facilitate his departure. Betis intends to keep its winger and would be unresponsive to any offer far from his release clause, which is set at 60 million euros.
Ezzalzouli’s situation also concerns FC Barcelona. During his transfer to Seville, the Catalan club negotiated a right on any potential future sale. Barça is thus entitled to receive 20% of the amount of a future transfer of the Moroccan player.
In the event that a suitor pays the 60 million euros stipulated by his clause, Barcelona would recover 12 million euros. This amount would be added to the 7.5 million already received during his departure to Real Betis, bringing the potential earnings for the Catalan club to 19.5 million euros.
