Anass Salah-Eddine will not be joining West Ham after all. Despite the loan offer made by the London club to AS Roma, the Moroccan international has decided to continue his adventure in the Italian capital and try to earn his place there.
According to journalist Rik Elfrink from Eindhovens Dagblad, who relies on information from the player’s entourage, the 24-year-old fullback has ruled out the possibility of a move to England. This decision is also reported by Voetbal International and VoetbalPrimeur.
West Ham had launched a concrete offensive following the departure of El Hadji Malick Diouf to Brentford. The Hammers wanted to acquire Salah-Eddine on loan, but the Moroccan’s desire to stay in Rome brought discussions to a halt.
This choice is in line with his decision not to extend his time at PSV, where he played on loan last season. Under contract with AS Roma until June 2028, Salah-Eddine now intends to fight for more playing time in the Roma jersey.
