Amine El Ouazzani played a significant role in Angers’ first victory of the season in Ligue 1. Starting on Saturday on the pitch of AJ Auxerre during the second matchday, the Moroccan forward scored a goal and provided an assist in the SCO’s 3-1 win.
After Branco van den Boomen opened the scoring in the 5th minute and Rémy Labeau-Lascary equalized in the 35th, El Ouazzani proved decisive after the break. In the 70th minute, he won an aerial duel in the box and deflected the ball to Harouna Djibirin, who restored the lead for Angers.
Eight minutes later, the Moroccan found the back of the net himself. From a corner taken by Van den Boomen, which was headed on by Ousmane Camara, he finished the play with a left-footed strike to make it 3-1. This marks his first official goal with Angers, as well as his first goal in Ligue 1. The forward celebrated this moment with his father, who was present in the stands of Abbé-Deschamps.
Substituted in the 88th minute for Bané Diatta, El Ouazzani was directly involved in two of Angers’ three goals. Loaned by SC Braga for the entire 2026-2027 season, he is off to a perfect start in his adventure with the SCO.
